"The 2017 Volnay Santenots 1er Cru comes from a parcel of 60-year-old vines. The attractive, floral bouquet is well defined, offering black and red fruit combined with iris and light incense aromas and demonstrating good vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with fine backbone. A more masculine Santenots compared to its peers, but conveying energy and impressive focus on the slightly ferrous finish. Excellent."

Established in Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure lies deep in the heart of the Cote de Beaune and is one of the oldest family-owned estates in Burgundy. David joined the family winery in 2003, and his impact has been profound. He has taken the domaine to cutting edge in Pommard by creating wines that favour elegance and purity of fruit over terse tannins and brooding dark fruit. His wines are true to their terroir but have an elegance that Pommard for the last half a century has lacked.
