The De Bortoli family story is one of determination and triumph that started 90 years ago in war-torn Europe and is now told, generations later, across Australia.
Their heritage encompasses the universal story of immigrants making good in an adopted land, the rise and rise of the Australian wine industry and the tale of a hardworking and innovative family who considers good wine, good food and good friends to be among the true pleasures in life.
The 2020 Willow glen Shiraz begins with inviting aromas of red berries and spice. The palate is abundant in plum, blackberry with hints of dark chocolate and oak. The wine is generous, silky and thoroughly enjoyable.

De Bortoli Wines is an iconic Australian winery that has been producing wines since the 1920s. The winery was founded by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli, Italian immigrants who settled in the Riverina region of New South Wales.
Today, the winery is run by their grandson, Darren De Bortoli, who is the Managing Director. The Chief Winemaker is Steve Webber, who has been with the winery since 1986 and has won numerous awards for his wines.
The winery is located in Bilbul, a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales. The region is known for its hot and dry climate, which is perfect for growing grapes. The terroir is characterized by red sandy loam soils, which are ideal for producing high-quality fruit.
De Bortoli Wines has received the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy in 1997 for their Shiraz, and the Winemaker of the Year award at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in 2007.
The winery is known for their Noble One dessert wine, which is made from botrytis-affected Semillon grapes. The wine has won over 100 awards, including multiple gold medals at the prestigious International Wine Challenge.
