"Lightly oaked in French and American barrels, this pure Tempranillo comes from Sotillo de la Ribera at 850 metres. It’s a spicy, modern-meets-traditional style with fresh acidity and a balsamic note."

95 points - Tim Atkin MW, Nov 2018

"Attractive ripe red-plum, fresh earth and savory complexity, leading to a palate that has a succulent, juicy and fleshy array of ripe cherries, berries and plums. The freshness holds amid ripe tannins. Drink or hold."

Best Buy - Peñín Guide 2019

"This polished red is balanced and harmonious, with cocoa, mineral and licorice flavors framing a core of fresh cherry and raspberry fruit. Well-integrated tannins and citrusy acidity keep this lively. Drink now through 2024." - Wine Spectator, April 2018

    Proyecto Garnachas de España

Comes from El Molar, and it's at 310 m with schist soils. 14.5% alcohol. Warm, sweet, spicy, herbal berry fruits nose. Warm, spicy and a bit peppery with warmth and ripeness but also dusty, spicy detail. Grippy and structured but shows restraint. Fresh acidity on the finish. A really distinctive wine that tastes Mediterranean.

    Tawse Winery

Canada (Canada), Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    6 x 750 ml

Rich Fish, Soft Cheese, White Meat

"Tawse is proud to partner with Canadian music icon and Order of Canada recipient Jim Cuddy to introduce “Cuddy by Tawse” Chardonnay. Jim collaborated with winemakers Paul Pender and Rene Van Ede to create this premium barrel-fermented blend. Aged 12 months in French oak, this wine displays aromas of Bosc pear, baking spice, white flower and hints of wet stone minerality. Crips notes of grapefruit are accompanied by apple and pear and a touch
of shy oak, resulting in a beautiful mouth feel on the palate.

    Marie-Pierre Manciat

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Rich Fish, Soft Cheese, White Meat

"This traditional-method sparkling wine from southern Burgundy entices the nose with caramel apple, lemon zest and toasty biscuit notes from time spent on its lees in the bottle. It has a generous palate of zesty citrus, ripe apple and brioche leading to a long, full and frothy finish. A good value Crémant, it’s well balanced with lively acidity and a delicate effervescence."

    92 points - Winecurrent.com, April 2018

"The dry, sparkling non-vintage Cremant de Bourgogne (100% Chardonnay) offers up notes of orange blossoms, tangerine oil and lemon rind. Fresh, lively, medium-bodied, penetrating and long, this is a sensational value in sparkling Chardonnay."

    Suertes del Marqués

    Spain (Spain), Tenerife (Spain)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

"The 2016 7 Fuentes will give you an idea of how the vintage behaved at Suertes del Marqués. They did multiple fermentations, most in concrete but some in stainless steel without temperature control—as the grapes were cooled down—and with indigenous yeasts. They used around 10% full clusters. Some 60% of the volume matured in concrete for nine months, while the rest was in used 500-liter oak barrels and one new 4,500-liter oak foudre. This has even less color than the 2015, and feels sharp, a little raw, very volcanic and peppery, and it feels like there's one extra step in complexity and depth here. The palate is really nice, electric and, curiously enough, seems sharp, but at the same time, it has volume. This could very well be my favorite vintage of 7 Fuentes to date."

"Sexy nose of ripe black fruit, red flowers and mineral undertones. Hints of chocolate, too – not to mention toasted oak. Full body, soft tannins and fresh acidity that leads to a herbal and spicy finish. Pure mencía. Balanced. Drinkable now but better in 2018."

    Cave Spring Cellars

Canada (Canada), Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Rich Fish, Soft Cheese, White Meat

"That flesh, that Kabinett flesh, fills the CSV in every crevice. In 2013 the residual sugar number lies between 15 and 16 g/L, and though the crop was bigger, it was still picked later than in 2012. The result is formidable corporeal concentration, consistency of house style and perhaps the only '13 Niagara Riesling to imitate, perpetuate and extrapolate on the vintage that came before. This Cave Spring concentrates fruit and Escarpment into a powerful Riesling, streaming like charged particles through changing expressions. A lingering ascension hovers as it rises, until it slowly fades into the welkin, like a balloon that languidly gets lost into the blinding blue of a midday sky. Drink 2017-2025."

    Cave Spring Cellars

    Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Rich Fish, Soft Cheese, White Meat

Cave Spring`s Blanc de Blancs is made entirely from Chardonnay grapes, which are grown in the limestone-clay soils of their vineyards along the benchlands of the Niagara Escarpment. Vinified in the Traditional Method, it was fermented and aged sur lie in bottle for a minimum of 30 months prior to disgorging. The result is a dry, Brut-style sparkling wine exhibiting delicate effervescence mineral nuances that are true to its cool-climate origins. WINE ACCESS: This wine is the flagship for Cave Spring's increasingly important sparkling wine focus, which now involves four labels. It won a Lieutenant-Governor's Award in 2012. This 100% chardonnay was aged for three years, building subtle almond complexity into the dried apple, lemon and shortbread aromas. It is light-bodied, lively, gentle, delicate and a touch sweet, yet built on a beam of mineral acidity. There's excellent length on the finish. This is a terrific blanc de blanc. 91 points. 10. New Riesling Felsenfest by Weingut Vollenweider 2016

    $359.40

    Weingut Vollenweider

    Germany (Germany), Mosel (Germany)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Ham, Rich Fish, Soft Cheese

"This multi-source cuvée displays its usual knack for delivering value, with brightly fresh lemon and apple allied to a flatteringly waxy texture and underlain by firm slate, just as its name (“firm as a rock”) suggests. This finishes with clarity, vibrancy and refreshment, not to mention impressive sheer penetration. While the label says 12% alcohol, the wine projects a fine sense of lift."
