    Château Haut Bourcier

    Bordeaux (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

"A charming wine with enveloping notes of vanilla, plums and red cherries. The palate is structured and full-bodied with a hefty but ripe dose of tannins and refreshing acidity. Stylish and long with a confident finish."

    Farnese

    Abruzzo (Italy), Italy (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Pasta, Red Meat

Ruby red in colour with garnet reflections. The nose is intense and persistent with a spicy bouquet, and hints of chocolate and tar that complement the vibrant dark fruit character. On the palate, it is very well balanced and displays great structure and tannins.

    Bodega Classica

    Rioja (Spain), Spain (Spain)

    6 x 750 ml

    Vegetables, White Meat

"One of a number of new projects at this restlessly innovative winery in San Vicente, this small lot white combines Viura with 20% each of Malvasía and Garnacha Blanca and spends 36 months in French oak. Rich and concentrated, yet comparatively low in alcohol, it has smoky wood, creamy lees and pithy acidity."

    Bruno Rocca

    Italy (Italy), Piedmont (Italy)

    6 x 750ml

Pasta, Red Meat, Risotto, Roasted Vegetables

"The 2012 Barbaresco Rabajà is incredibly tight today. Then again, it was just bottled. Firm, incisive tannins support a core of vibrant fruit in a powerful, pulsating wine built on the pure energy that is the signature of these poor white soils. Hints of leather, savory herbs, mint and smoke add nuance on the finish. Today, the 2012 is shaping up to be more of a delicate vintage for the Rabajà. Although it is early for both years, I have a slight preference for the 2012 over the 2011."
