    12 x 750 ml

"Winemaker Marco Giulioli believes this was the best vintage in the past decade, with rain just before picking not affecting the quality. Smooth, elegant, deep and concentrated with dark berries and spice on the palate. Fresh finish with a cleansing, mineral edge."

    Donatella Cinelli Colombini

    12 x 750 ml

Ham, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Vegetables

"The 2016 Il Drago e le 8 Colombe (a blend of 60% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot and 20% Sagrantino) offers savory earthy sensations that come in part from the Sangiovese and in part from the Sagrantino grape. Those distinctive aromas are softened to a great extent by the Merlot, especially in a classic vintage such as this that allows for each separate variety to show its best side and uniqueness. The bouquet delivers some raw cherry and cassis, but you mostly get intense aromas of tobacco and spice. Pair it with an oven-broiled steak and potatoes."

  3. New Barrua Isola dei Nuraghi IGT by Agricola Punica 2016

    $389.70

    Agricola Punica

    Italy (Italy), Sardinia (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

    Pasta, Red Meat, Vegetables

Made exclusively from vines grown on the Barrua Estate, from an exciting blend of 85% Carignano, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, this wine has lovely complexity and depth. The aromas are deep and rounded with exotic notes of black cherry, wild strawberry, dried herbs and a hint of refined tobacco. The palate is pure and concentrated with layers of raspberry and black cherry fruit followed by savoury, liquorice and black pepper characters and an elegant mineral note on the finish. The tannins are fine and enveloping, balanced by an easing, refreshing acidity.

"This stylish blend of Carignano and 15% Bordeaux varieties has blackcurrant, tomato leaf, sweet spice and cinnamon aromas and a silky texture. Concentrated without being too heavy. Finely integrated tannins. Classy.  Drinking Window 2020 - 2030.”

  4. $444.00

    Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno

    Italy (Italy), Piedmont (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Vegetables

"This is beautiful. It’s concentrated at the same time as being bright and fresh, with a crunchy raspberry edge to the floral cherry fruit. There’s an almost perfect balance between the just-ripe, pure red fruit character and the spice and herb savouriness, with firm, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity providing the structural foil. This is a pleasure to drink now, but you feel its best years are ahead of it. And many of them. The alcohol is high, but there’s no sense of over-ripeness, and a little sweetness from the alcohol helps melt the tannins a little."

    Benito Ferrara

    Campania (Italy), Italy (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Ham, Hard Cheese, Pasta, Red Meat

"Deep, moderately saturated ruby. Very floral, pure aromas of dark cherry, sandalwood, sweet herbs and tar on the captivating nose. Then very long and also very pure in the mouth, showcasing magical fruit/acid/tannin balance. Finishes long and seamless, offering smooth, concentrated violet, plum, blackberry, dark cherry, and Oriental spice nuances. A magical Taurasi, one of the best I have ever tried at a similar stage of development from Ferrara. Well done."

  6. New Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by La Colombina 2015 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by La Colombina 2015

    $449.94

    La Colombina

    Italy (Italy), Tuscany (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Veal roasted

"La Colombina's 2015 Brunello di Montalcino takes a classic approach with a fine texture and a steady delivery of aromas that grow cautiously in intensity the longer the wine sits in the glass. This Brunello is stitched together carefully with wild and forest fruit aromas that segue to pressed blue flower, spice and light balsam herb. Released five years after the harvest, according to the Brunello appellation rules, this wine has had the time to integrate and smooth out. There are no hard edges here, and the mouthfeel is silky and polished. This is a classic expression of Brunello that ages in oak for 36 months."

93 points - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Jan 2020

"A supple, juicy version, revealing macerated cherry, sandalwood, tobacco and iron flavors. The bright acidity is matched to well-integrated tannins, giving this red a harmonious feel. Offers a fine, mouthwatering finish."

    Giovanni Manzone

    Italy (Italy), Piedmont (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Ham, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Vegetables

"Manzone's 2015 Barolo Castelletto is truly impressive. Bold, rich and pulsing with energy, the 2015 captures all the vibrancy that makes Barolos from Castelletto so distinctive, with an extra touch of mid-palate sweetness. If that sounds appealing, well, it is. Rose petal, bright red berry fruit, mint, chalk and wild flowers all run through this wonderfully nuanced, translucent Barolo. There is so much to like here. What a pretty wine this is."

    Fattoria La Magia

    Italy (Italy), Tuscany (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Pasta, Red Meat

    Only 1125 bottles produced.

"The 2015 La Magia ‘Ciliegio’ Brunello di Montalcino opens to an austere and complex sensory profile, as stunning aromatics lift from the glass with notes of red hibiscus flowers, jasmine flowers, agapanthus and blue plums. It is enriched with thyme and marjoram which give this wine a certain Mediterranean character. On the palate this is full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, structured with sweet tannins which frame the impeccable fruit quality on the finish. This is sensational now, but should become even more impressive as it evolves over the next few years."
