  1. New Bandol Rosé by Domaine La Suffrene 2019

    $455.88

    Domaine La Suffrene

    France (France), Provence (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Ham, Scallop, Soft Cheese, White Meat

"The art of Rosé is the art of understatement, the art of creating a drinkability so complete that it almost contrives to efface its own origins. Almost. Yet it's a mark of the greatness of this rosé that those origins do linger - namely the distinguished clay-marl terraces of Bandol, and the contentment of the Mourvedre which so relishes growing there. This is a deeper salmon than many of its peers, with scintillatingly peachy-floral fruits. The origins come through most clearly in the palate, with its sustained shaping structure from those contented Mourvedre vines. The Grenache, meanwhile, has brought wealth and fleshy Cinsault charm. It adds up to an irresistible whole."

From old vines. Intense ruby red color with purplish notes, intense aroma with the presence of cherry jam and blackberries, soaked in lightly spiced tobacco. On the palate the sweetness of the spicy component is highlighted, with a finish that gives notes of cocoa and coffee. Very long, it will evolve further for the next 10 years.

    Egly-Ouriet

    Champagne (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

    Caviar, Foie gras

This is the cuvée  formerly known as “Tradition” , 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, aged 4 years sur lie.

From the very first cuvee, Egly-Ouriet is distinguished for its ability to preserve exacting precision and outstanding chalk mineral focus in the midst of magnificent generosity. This is a vinous wine of calm authority, carrying the full grandeur and complexity of carefully tended, old-vine pinot noir on some of Champagne's most revered Grand Crus, It juxtaposes freshness and depth, a marvel of red cherries, plums, dried fruits, and mixed-spice of rippling intensity, showcasing four and a half years on lees, yet at every moment impeccably focused with scintillating acidity and miner-infused poise. A paradox of luxurious generosity and crystalline purity.

    Fattoria La Magia

    Italy (Italy), Tuscany (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Pasta, Red Meat

    Only 1125 bottles produced.

"The 2015 La Magia ‘Ciliegio’ Brunello di Montalcino opens to an austere and complex sensory profile, as stunning aromatics lift from the glass with notes of red hibiscus flowers, jasmine flowers, agapanthus and blue plums. It is enriched with thyme and marjoram which give this wine a certain Mediterranean character. On the palate this is full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, structured with sweet tannins which frame the impeccable fruit quality on the finish. This is sensational now, but should become even more impressive as it evolves over the next few years."
