"The 'La Cigalette' is a gorgeous showing in this vintage. It opens to fresh, inviting aromas of black raspberries, plums, violets, spices, pepper and black olives all taking shape. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a lovely velvety texture that displays beautiful depth and focus. Flavors of ripe black raspberries, dark plums and violets notes continue to build through the long, juicy finish. Overall, this is a simply fantastic wine which will be accessible upon release and will also cellar nicely over the next decade."

"This traditional-method sparkling wine from southern Burgundy entices the nose with caramel apple, lemon zest and toasty biscuit notes from time spent on its lees in the bottle. It has a generous palate of zesty citrus, ripe apple and brioche leading to a long, full and frothy finish. A good value Crémant, it’s well balanced with lively acidity and a delicate effervescence."

The dry, sparkling non-vintage Cremant de Bourgogne (100% Chardonnay) offers up notes of orange blossoms, tangerine oil and lemon rind. Fresh, lively, medium-bodied, penetrating and long, this is a sensational value in sparkling Chardonnay."

"This wine is richly structured and still densely tannic. With its ripe red fruits and firm tannins, the wine is destined for aging. Coming from the plateau above the town of Chinon, the wine has density and longevity."

"This is a very tasty, rich, golden hued, well aged chardonnay-based sparkler with an involved nose of cashew, baked apple, nougat and honey. It is almost creamy in texture with fine mousse and very good acidity providing counterpoint. There is pleasant nutty bitterness on the finish; length is excellent."

"This 17th-century estate is on the plateau of Lussac, with 12 acres of silica and clay soil. The wine has a smoky edge along with perfumes from the Cabernet Franc in the blend. Its berry flavors, ripe tannins and cinnamon touch are rich and promise some good aging."

"The art of Rosé is the art of understatement, the art of creating a drinkability so complete that it almost contrives to efface its own origins. Almost. Yet it's a mark of the greatness of this rosé that those origins do linger - namely the distinguished clay-marl terraces of Bandol, and the contentment of the Mourvedre which so relishes growing there. This is a deeper salmon than many of its peers, with scintillatingly peachy-floral fruits. The origins come through most clearly in the palate, with its sustained shaping structure from those contented Mourvedre vines. The Grenache, meanwhile, has brought wealth and fleshy Cinsault charm. It adds up to an irresistible whole."
