  1. $359.70

    Le Fonti

    Italy (Italy), Tuscany (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Pasta, Red Meat

"The 2014 Fontissimo is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 10% Sangiovese, but it comes off first and foremost as a wine off the property. Succulent dark cherry, leather and spice are some of the many notes that come alive with time in the glass. Ample, creamy and beautifully layered, the Fontissimo hits all the right notes. The 2014 offers real substance and plenty of character."

  2. New Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Altesino 2014 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Altesino 2014

    $377.70

    Altesino

    Italy (Italy), Tuscany (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Pasta, Red Meat

"The 2014 Brunello di Montalcino mirrors the main characteristics of the vintage with a clean mouthfeel and bright berry aromas. The Brunellos from 2014 are better suited to near or medium-term drinking and that's definitely the case with this wine. I'd suggest a pairing with your favorite pasta dish topped with creamy cheese sauce. Sangiovese has the natural acidity to cut through any fatty foods. This expression from Altesino achieves more fruit ripeness in 2014 with aromas of plum, dark cherry and dried cassis."

Bright red. Fresh, clean aromas of orange peel, red cherry and herbs. Enters floral, then more earthy, with a hint of rhubarb to go along with strawberry and herbal flavors. Finishes with delicately mouthcoating tannins.

This is the best example of Bordeaux that we have experienced in the last 10 years. Aged 18 months in French oak, this wine shows tart dark fruit, cigar box and herbal aromas. The palate is full with bold tannins, dark chocolate and hints of coffee. Definitely a wine for aging, we are curious to see how it
changes over the next 9 or 10 years.
