"The 2016 'La Deveze' is a wonderful showing which beings with inviting aromas of black raspberries and dark red plums that are woven together with licorice, spices and fresh lavender. This medium-bodied red possesses wonderful balance, concentration and depth with a gorgeous velvety texture, which is layered with ripe dark fruits and licorice. This will be accessible upon release, but will also develop nicely with another year of bottle age."

"Schedule to be bottled soon, the 2014 Côtes du Roussillon will certainly be an outstanding wine, as well as serious value. Offering up killer notes of cassis, licorice, toasted bread and cracked pepper, it’s medium bodied, fresh and lively, with a seamless, sexy, yet elegant texture. Less concentrated than the 2013s, it nevertheless has plenty of depth, as well as fine tannin on the finish."

"Thoroughly delicious, this Merlot based wine offers a dash of Pomerol-like plushness and breed at a petit château price. It opens with a bright bouquet of blackberry, mocha-vanilla, and violets. One the palate, medium-bodied, with juicy black cherry and red berry fruit, finishing with soft, velvety tannins and a hint of vanilla. Wonderful purity, loaded with easy-drinking charm; yet there is considerable depth here as well."

The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a lovely velvety texture that displays beautiful depth and focus. Flavors of ripe black raspberries, dark plums and violets notes continue to build through the long, juicy finish. Overall, this is a simply fantastic wine which will be accessible upon release and will also cellar nicely over the next decade."

"The 2012 Pouilly Fuissé les Petites Bruyeres comes from 30-year-old vines, fermented in both barrel and stainless steel where the wine matures for 11 months. It has a pretty bouquet with scents of lemon peel, freshly cut pear, nettle and limestone. The palate is fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, fine tension with a tightly wound, minerally finish that suggests two or three years in bottle will be required. This is an austere, but classy, Pouilly-Fuisse and I suspect it will age extremely well. This comes highly recommended."

"The 2018 Morgon Côte du Py derives from both higher-altitude and lower-lying parcels, and it is a great success this year, offering up a lovely bouquet of dark fruits, cherries, smoked meat and licorice. On the palate, it's full-bodied, ample and layered, with a fleshy and concentrated core, fine girdling tannins and succulent acids, concluding with a long and sapid finish."

"The 2017 Maranges 1er Cru Clos de la Boutière reveals an appealing bouquet of cherries, candied peel, rich soil tones and a light touch of oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and tensile, with a chalkier, tighter-knit profile than the more gourmand Fussière, with tangy acids and good length on the finish. Since these vines are pruned in cordon and escaped frost the last few years, yields have been relatively consistent."

"Notions of ripe plums, berries, loamy soil and licorice introduce the 2017 Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière, a medium to full-bodied, velvety wine with rich structuring tannins, a succulent core of fruit and juicy balancing acids. Pure and long on the finish, this hails from soils richer in clay and correspondingly more gourmand than the Clos de la Boutière."
