Mas Codina is a 40 hectare estate in the Alt Penedès which dates back to 1681. This Brut Nature Reserva Cava was hand-harvested from 20 to 30-year-old vines and estate bottled. Farming is 100% Organic on the estate. Vines are planted in calcareous and sandy clay soils which keep the wine minerally and lively. Château Des Charmes

Canada (Canada), Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    6 x 750 ml

“… terrific value; stock up. It offers a lively nose of baking brioche and lemon-lime aromas. A profusion of fine-bead bubbles make a substantial mousse when poured and continue in endless thin streams making their way to the top of your glass. Almost off-dry flavours of apple and pear on the palate are joined by a bracing line of lemon curd and Key lime persisting through the mouth-watering finish—clean, crisp and refreshing.”

  3. New Gravity Pinot Noir VQA by Flat Rock Cellars 2011

    $209.70

    Flat Rock Cellars

Canada (Canada), Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables, White Meat

Flat Rock Cellars' Gravity is designed to showcase the "best of the best" in the estate's Twenty Mile Bench vineyard and cellar. That means careful selection of the best parcels of Pinot Noir vines, vinified separately and then the best is chosen from individual barrels. The nose shows generous cran-cherry fruit with a subtle note of earthy goodness and oak spice. It's pure and delicious on the palate with bright red fruits, ripe tannins, vibrant acidity and good length through the finish.

"Truly benchmark Niagara Pinot Noir! I've long been a fan of Flat Rock's Pinot Noirs, especially the Gravity. Aromas of ripe cherry. Vibrant racy acidity. The winery uses the gentlest methods to press the grapes and make the wine via a gravity flow system rather than pumping (thus the name gravity on the label). Then the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. Medium ruby hue with cherry accents, polished tannins, silky smooth texture and medium bodied weight. Gorgeous cherry-berry aromas and flavours on the mid-palate. Then it finishes with wisps of black raspberry and vanilla toast. This red wine is so vivacious and so fantastically great year after year. Pair with roast or grilled chicken."

    Churton

Marlborough (New Zealand), New Zealand (New Zealand)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

"A standout from Marlborough from an excellent site. Churton often fly outside of the blue-chip banner, but are firmly in my top ten list of producers in New Zealand. Here’s a good reason why, again, to visit the producer or explore the wines. Hello ! Beautiful, fragrant perfume, red cherries, faint musk, gentle undergrowth savouriness, a touch of orange/orange peel. The palate is silky yet shows a fine sheath of tannin keeping things shapely and long. Mouthwatering, fine finish. This is a class act. Stellar pinot noir of structure, seriousness and fine texture with drinkability in tow."

    Bellavista Wine

    Italy (Italy), Lombardy (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

    Breads, Pasta, Soft Cheese

White foam, exuberant and of excellent persistence. Very fine pearl necklaces to form a well-present and prolonged crown. Effervescence is dynamic and full of youth. Bright and bright yellow color with evident greenish reflections. Bouquet characterized by a marked minerality. Wide and inviting, it embraces nuances of ripe sweet fruit, meringue, pastry and candied citrus peel. Taste fully corresponding to the nose, with an almost crunchy creamy sensation and a texture that combines elegance and lightness, thickness and harmony. The vibrant and contemporary character represents its unmistakable identity. A character that is sustained, without any compromise, by a freshness that maintains its classicism for a long time, announcing its promise of longevity.

"Pretty aromas of bread dough, lemon and cooked apple. Fresh. Medium to full body, tangy acidity and a fruity finish. Always an outstanding sparkling wine. Drink now."

    René Geoffroy

    Champagne (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Rich Fish, Soft Cheese, White Meat

"A fine, mouthwatering version, featuring a pleasant vibrancy throughout, while a delicate, satiny texture carries flavors of poached quince, salted almond and Meyer lemon peel. Long and elegant, with details of elderflower, star anise and chalk lacing the finish."

    93 points - Wine Spectator, Dec 2019

"The rich fig and red apple friuts of Cumières meunier create a compelling contrast with crisp malic acidity and tight grapefruit and lemon zest notes. Three years on lees makes for a generous maturity for an entry cuvée, reinforcing honey and fruit cake spice and a creamy texture."

  9. New Maranges 1er Cru Clos de la Boutiere by Domaine Bachelet Monnot 2017

    $414.00

    Domaine Bachelet-Monnot

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Ham, Hard Cheese, Pasta, Red Meat, Vegetables

"The 2017 Maranges 1er Cru Clos de la Boutière reveals an appealing bouquet of cherries, candied peel, rich soil tones and a light touch of oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and tensile, with a chalkier, tighter-knit profile than the more gourmand Fussière, with tangy acids and good length on the finish. Since these vines are pruned in cordon and escaped frost the last few years, yields have been relatively consistent."

  10. New Maranges 1er Cru La Fussiere by Domaine Bachelet Monnot 2017

    Domaine Bachelet-Monnot

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Vegetables

"Notions of ripe plums, berries, loamy soil and licorice introduce the 2017 Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière, a medium to full-bodied, velvety wine with rich structuring tannins, a succulent core of fruit and juicy balancing acids. Pure and long on the finish, this hails from soils richer in clay and correspondingly more gourmand than the Clos de la Boutière."
