Sparkling wine made by natural fermentation with the Charmat method. Pale straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. It has the typical fruity bouquet reminiscent of Golden Delicious apples, with a hint of banana and peach. It is fresh, aromatic and velvety in the mouth with a pleasant roundness. Tawse Winery

Canada (Canada), Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    12 x 750 ml

Rich Fish, Risotto, Salad, Vegetables, White Meat

"Wow! This is an intense, nervy riesling with all kinds of apple, citrus and floral (jasmin) character. It is medium weight, just off dry but so well balanced in terms of acid and sugar, with really impressive fruit intensity and drive. It is bracing and almost relentless in terms of flavour depth. There is a hint of CO2 adding to the brightness. Some grapefruity bitterness on the finish. Excellent to outstanding length."

    Tessari

    Italy (Italy), Veneto (Italy)

    12 x 750 ml

Rich Fish, Risotto, Salad, Vegetables, White Meat

This has a gorgeous, exotic and refined nose of linden/jasmine, lemon blossom, tangerine and peach. It is medium-full bodied, very tidy, lively yet rich with lovely concentration and focus. Nicely firm and mineral with bitter lemon on the finish. The length is excellent.

"The ’18 is so bloody amenable, still volcanic salty and never losing focus. So delicious, as always. Drink 2020-2024."

  4. New Lawrie Vineyard Pinot Gris VQA by Tawse Winery 2019

    $323.40

    Tawse Winery

    Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    12 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Rich Fish, Soft Cheese, White Meat

"This is a tropical and floral beauty on the nose—pineapple, guava, honeysuckle, rose water—with a back drop of mineral notes. This is medium-bodied with a nice roundness on the palate but absolutely no residual sugar, leaving all the stage to cantaloupe and pineapple flavours, bright citrus acidity, energetic minerality and a ginger hint emerging in the long delectable finish. This gem will shine alongside steamed mussel or a seared red tuna salad with an Asian flair."

  5. New Greco di Tufo Vigna Cicogna DOCG by Benito Ferrara 2019 Greco di Tufo Vigna Cicogna DOCG by Benito Ferrara 2019

    $539.88

    Benito Ferrara

    Campania (Italy), Italy (Italy)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Ham, Rich Fish, Salted or Marinated Mushrooms, White Meat

"Luminous straw-green. Inviting, lovely lemon-lime and white flower notes on the nose. Then very serious and almost austere in the mouth, displaying a stony personality to the orchard and tropical fruit flavors. Remarkably Fiano-like on the long, smooth, mineral finish – in fact, it “out-Fianos” Ferrara’s Fiano Sequenzha this year! A lovely wine that is still youthful and will likely develop well."

    93+ points - Ian d'Agata, Vinous Media, Nov 2019 (2018 vintage)

Benito Ferrara is one of Italy’s best white wine producers. Ferrara’s most famous wine, the Greco di Tufo Vigna Cicogna, is an Italian icon.

Benito Ferrara’s Greco di Tufo Vigna Cicogna is perhaps the most elegant Greco di Tufo wine made in Italy today. Though it has the tannic power typical of Greco wines, it has a light on its feet quality, a dainty minerality and a lemony freshness that are not commonly found in other Greco di Tufo wines." - Ian d'Agata, Vinous Media

    René Geoffroy

    Champagne (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Rich Fish, Soft Cheese, White Meat

"A fine, mouthwatering version, featuring a pleasant vibrancy throughout, while a delicate, satiny texture carries flavors of poached quince, salted almond and Meyer lemon peel. Long and elegant, with details of elderflower, star anise and chalk lacing the finish."

    93 points - Wine Spectator, Dec 2019

"The rich fig and red apple friuts of Cumières meunier create a compelling contrast with crisp malic acidity and tight grapefruit and lemon zest notes. Three years on lees makes for a generous maturity for an entry cuvée, reinforcing honey and fruit cake spice and a creamy texture."

93 points - Tyson Stelzer, The Champagne Guide 2016-2017

"The NV Brut Expression is floral, racy and explosive. Apricot, yellow flowers, mint and butter are all generous in the glass. Vinous and creamy, with tons of richness, the Expression has so much to offer. Tropical overtones add to a real sense of exoticism, and yet there is plenty of freshness and cut as well."

    Domaine Huet

    France (France), Loire (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Caviar, Cured Meat, Ham, Rich Fish

"The 2018 Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec is the only dry Chenin produced at Huet that year. Tasted in May 2019, the Clos du Bourg opens with a delicate nose of white fruit and mirabelle plums, along with chalky and very fine sur-lie notes. The palate is intense, round and fruity but filigreed in its structure and persistent in its mineral grip and stimulating salinity. The yeasty texture gives this 13.5% alcohol Chenin a fine structure and mouthfeel."
