Chianti is undoubtedly the most famous Italian wine in the world. The Gaslini Alberti have always contributed to the quality of this appellation by producing “l Sodi del Paretaio”, a typical expression of Chianti: fragrant and elegant, but of beautiful richness and intensity.  A blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, this wine is aged for 10 months in stainless steel and/or concrete.  The nose is fresh with floral and fruity aromas.  On the palate the wine is pleasurable and versitile with soft, ripe tannins.  Beautifully balanced.

"The 2015 La Magia Brunello di Montalcino shows incredible quality fruit as it dispenses wonderful energy and sensory brilliance with notes of cherries, black cherries, raspberries and red plums underlined with lime that identify quality and refinement. Full body, rich, dense with excellent concentration and balance with gorgeous tannins that frame the beautifully polished finish. This is a sensational Brunello that will only be more impressive with a few more years to develop."

    Donatella Cinelli Colombini

    Italy (Italy), Tuscany (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

"The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Prime Donne opens with a stunning display of floral-laced black cherry, becoming dark and deeper in the glass, as notes of brown spice, balsamics, leather and air-dried meats develop. On the palate, cool-toned textures race like liquid silk, ushing in fleshy red fruits, zesty minerals and spice, all framed by balanced acids and fine tannin. The finish goes on and on, being both structured and fresh, as I can feel its young tannin pulling at the senses while allowing notes of black cherry, spice and sweet floral tones to linger on. It’s a dramatic, dark beauty of a wine that will only get better with time."

95 Points - Eric Guido, Vinous Media, April 2020

"This is a special selezione expression. The Donatella Cinelli Colombini 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Prime Donne starts off a bit closed and shy, however it soon gains speed thanks to the intensity of its berry fruit, spice and camphor ash aromas. This wine is built to withstand longer cellar aging. It is firmly compact and tight at its core, recalling a Brunello from a cooler vintage. However, much of that 2015 sunshine and dark fruit exuberance comes through nonetheless. Fruit comes from a 10-hectare site with a large component of clay in the soils. Only 6,600 bottles were made, and the wine was released in January 2020."

"Extremely perfumed and decadent with dried fruit, orange peel and meat on the nose. Full body, linear and bright with intense citrus. Long and powerful. Like a Barolo! Drink or hold. Made from organic grapes."

    95 points - James Suckling, November 2017

"Mid ruby with bright, bricky tinges. Reductive and stalky on the nose. I would decant this. Very elegant cherry fruit of great precision and with bags of coating tannins. Real class."

    Sesti

    Italy (Italy), Tuscany (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

“Planted in the 1990s, Sesti's vineyards surround the 13th century Argiano Castle in the southern reaches of Montalcino. The sandy soil is rich in marine sediment and minerals and tends to give a profusely fragrant Brunello. While fragile garnet in colour, the 2015 is still very fresh and youthful. Aromatic Mediterranean herbs meet salty marine breezes. Inner-mouth perfume echoes the nose and offsets succulent cherry and plum flavours. Accessible, chalky-textured tannins frame the whole. Drinking Window 2020-2030”
