    Purato

    6 x 750 ml

Hard Cheese, Pasta, Red Meat, Veal roasted, Vegetables

"The name Siccari comes from the Sicilian dialect for “seccare” , which translates as “to dry” in the context of foods, something that is very much a part of Sicilian culture. We chose this name as an indicator of the style, since a proportion of the grapes are sun-dried before vinification. Creating a red wine using appassimento brings a whole new dimension to a wine - Siccari has a rich and complex structure, with very soft berryish fruits and a touch of spice. Incredibly characterful, it has layer upon layer of intense and diverse fruit flavours and a very long finish."

    $299.88

    Domaine de Dionysos

    France (France), Southern Rhône (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

"The 2016 'La Cigalette' is a wonderful showing which opens to aromas of ripe black raspberries and plums, followed by crushed violets, spices, white pepper and dark chocolate nuances which all begin to take shape as it unwinds in the glass. This possesses a remarkable round, polished texture that ends with a velvety finish that lingers nicely. While this already appealing and will be approachable early on, it will likely begin to show its best stuff after a year to two of cellaring."

    Clos del Rey

    France (France), Roussillon (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Ham, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

"A blend of 55% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 15% Carignan from near Maury, the 2017 Côtes du Roussillon Villages le Sabina saw only concrete prior to bottling. It features attractive aromas of crushed stone and ripe black cherries on the nose and is full-bodied and concentrated in the mouth, with those bold flavors underscored by fine-grained tannins, a strong schistous structure and tremendous length. This is a real beauty."

    12 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Ham, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

"A blend of 80% grenache and 20% syrah, this has a very rich and attractively ripe feel in 2018. Succulent, dense and very plush tannins carry an assertive, fresh and fleshy feel. There’s a salty mineral note, too. "

    Gerard Betrand

    France (France), Languedoc-Roussillon (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables, Veal roasted

"La Sauvageonne is a mix of individual lots of syrah, grenache, mourvèdre, and carignan growing among the basalt, schist and red soils known as ‘ruffes’ in the highly acclaimed sub-appellation of Terrasses du Larzac. The appellation is located in the northern reaches of the Hérault département, a region known for its significant temperature amplitude and its distance from the Mediterranean sea and proximity of the Causse limestone ridges, all of which cool down the hot summer nights. The nose is intense, reflecting the black fruit base and the strong garrigue that fills the air in the vineyards. The attack is youthful, but the tannins sweet. Look for licorice, orange peel, black plum, black raspberry, and meaty flavours that persist from front to back. Demeter certified biodynamic and capable of ageing a decade with no problem."

94 points - Anthony Gismondi, GismondiOnWine, Oct 2019

"The black cherry reduction and raspberry tart flavors are nicely polished, with black tea, herb and spice undertones leading to a long, supple finish that offers bitter chocolate and mineral details. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan."

    Domaine de Bonserine

    France (France), Northern Rhône (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Red Meat, Veal roasted

"Inching out the Viallière as my favorite of the Bonserine bottlings this year, the 2017 Cote Rotie la Sarrasine offers up delicate floral, herbal and spice aromas. It's medium to full-bodied, with black olive and blackberry flavors filling out the palate and providing a supple core for the potpourri notes. Deep espresso and vibrant berry flavors mingle on the long, silky finish."

    Rotllan Torra

    Priorat (Spain), Spain (Spain)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Ham, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

"A prodigious effort, the 2001 Tirant is a 9,000-bottle cuvee made from 30% Grenache (90-100 years old), 25% Carignan (90-100 years old), 25% young vine Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, and 10% Merlot. Fermented in large oak foudres and aged 12 months in new French oak, it will be bottled with neither fining nor filtration. Inky/purple-colored to the rim, it boasts a spectacular bouquet of blueberries, blackberries, and the region’s classic crushed stone minerality. This full-throttle yet remarkably elegant 2001 possesses tremendous intensity and texture as well as layers of flavor, but comes across as not over the top, overripe, or overly heavy. The 60-second finish reveals more noticeable tannin than the other cuvees. Give it 1-2 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 10-15. The 2001 Tirant is indeed a special wine."

"Immediately a sense of darker fruit in this vintage. Some stony, chalky elements, as well as dried violets and roses. Very compelling, fleshy palate with powerful black fruit and plums and thick, but smooth tannins that will carry it in the cellar. Barrel sample.
