Pierre Boisson’s Bourgogne Blanc 2020 is a wine of extraordinary clarity, finesse, and unforgettable impact. There are very, very few wines at this level that deliver so much for the money. The vines for the Bourgogne Blanc are in Meursault, and the wine this wine carries the same weight and nutty richness that I adore. What makes it special, is the combination of that with verve, deeply etched refinement, and slow-building complexity. I have poured this wine in blind tastings with many top Meursaults, and it more than holds it own. The wines of the Boisson family have become some of my favorite white Burgundies. They are intensely mineral, nervy, and possess a perfectly judged richness. The Bourgogne is a very compelling example of just how impressive the wines are.
