  1. New Pinteivera Red by Dos Lusiadas 2014

    Dos Lusiadas

    Douro (Portugal), Portugal (Portugal)

    6 x 750ml

    Pasta, Red Meat

In 2009, Rhone super star Michel Chapoutier picked out a plot in the Douro Valley. A small – very small – plot of 3 hectares, but full of promise: Eleivera. Here, the winters are tough, the summer a long, dry heatwave. To get sufficient output, Michel Chapoutier joined forces with local producers incredibly honest and pure representations of this region, which is a Unesco world heritage site. A clear, deep black with sustained crimson highlights. A powerful nose, showing dark fruit at first, along with some “garrigue” and spicy notes. Aromas of fruit (cherries, prunes) macerated in “eau de vie” can also be detected. The whole is underpinned by mineral notes (graphite) that bring a great deal of freshness. Full on the palate supported by impressive velvety structure. There’s flesh, weight and depth, all rounded off by an incredibly long finish. The dark fruit comes through again, giving a crisp sensation underpinned by nice mineral tautness that endows this wine with freshness and remarkable balance. > Learn More

  2. New Ribera del Duero by Bodegas Montecastro 2014

    Bodegas Montecastro

Ribera del Duero (Spain), Spain (Spain)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Veal roasted

Dark and intense with aromas of ripe red fruits and dried cherries. The palate introduces flavours of black plums and dark chocolate, with silky smooth tannins and subtle sweet spices. Earthy and complex on the finish.

"The textbook and classical 2014 Montecastro has contained ripeness and nicely integrated oak, with great balance combining power and elegance."

  3. New Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Laurence Magnum by Domaine du Pegau 2014

    Domaine du Pégau

    France (France), Southern Rhône (France)

    1 x 1500 ml

Cured Meat, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables, Veal roasted

"This wine shows complexities of cocoa, leather, rose petal and earth that juxtapose mouthwatering blackberry and plum flavors. Its fruit is at the forefront but anchored by a mineral undertow that should intensify with age. It's a beauty already, framed by fine, chalky tannins."
