Bodega Pirineos is one of the founding members of the Designation of Origin Somontano. It is part of the Barbadillo Group - one of the ten largest and oldest family businesses in Spain. With 200 years of history, it is still 100% a family business.
Barbadillo has been at the forefront of the wine sector for centuries, pioneers in many ways. They bottled the first Manzanilla exported to Philadelphia in 1827, were the first to call this type of wine ‘manzanilla’ and produced the first Andalusian white wine made 100% from palomino fino grapes in 1975. They have been exporting wines around the world since 1827.
