The Château de la Grenière is a 15-hectare property located in Bordeaux, in the town of Lussac. The property is managed by Jean-Pierre Dubreuil, and his son Audren who represent the fourth and fifth generation of the family to operate the estate.
The Lussac region is made up of a mosaic of different terroirs. The Château de la Grenière rests on soil resulting from terrestrial alluvium. These soils have a loamy-sandy, loamy-clayey domain resting on a clayey bottom. This terroir is ideal for the Château de la Grenière grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Lussac Saint-Emilion is an appellation located on the right bank of Bordeaux, north of Saint-Emilion. It has 1,461 hectares and produces only red wines from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
It benefits from a microclimate favourable to the vine, with moderate rainfall and warm temperatures in summer. The soils are mainly clay-limestone soils.
