Clos Solène is a small, family-owned winery, in the heart of Willow Creek in Paso Robles, California. Guillaume, a sixth generation winemaker, as well as the owner and a farmer, was born in Languedoc-Roussillon, a region in the South of France. Winemaking runs in the family's DNA. His parents had an estate in the Languedoc-Roussillon, but sold it after Guillaume graduated, and moved to Bordeaux where they had another estate. In Bordeaux Guillaume had a bolt of lightning for the love of his life, Solène. But, not convinced to want to make his wine in Bordeaux, he flew to California in 2004 and took an internship at L'Aventure, in Paso Robles. Once again he fell in love, with the country and its wine. Convinced by their love and Guillaume's passion, Solène followed him, and this latter created a vineyard after his muse and inspiration.
