  1. $275.40

    Stephane Aviron

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Ham, Pasta, Soft Cheese, Vegetables

100% Gamay sourced from 50+ year old vines in the lieu-dit of ‘Les Monthieux’.

This light, elegant Beaujolais Villages drinks above its price point owing to the complexity of fruit and minerality from the old vines. Whole cluster fermentation and a six-day maceration extract intense fruit flavours while maintaining overall finesse. The wine is then aged in inert oak so as not to impact the freshness of the wine with any overt oak aromas. Biodynamic wine.

  2. New Bourgogne Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes by Roche de Bellene 2017 Bourgogne Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes by Roche de Bellene 2017

    $359.40

    Maison Roche De Bellène

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Rich Fish, Roasted Vegetables

The entry-level red Burgundy comes from vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The vines range in age from 30 to 80 years and are farmed sustainably. The major part of this wine is matured in barriques and the remainder is done in stainless steel. This maintains a pure style with bright fruit and a fine texture. 100% Delicious

Smashed cherry skins, crunchy acidity and fresh vibrant intensity. But, beneath all the fresh red flowers and sweet talc on the nose there is a fine whiff of wet rocks and autumn. Tannins are chalky, soft and plump. This true Vieilles Vignes Burgundy has killer finesse and an insane quaffable quality that makes it a dangerous wine.

    Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Veal roasted, Vegetables

"From parcels planted in 1929 and 1974, the 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Les Vignes Franches exhibits a deep bouquet of blood orange, sweet wild berries, spices, peonies and raw cocoa. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, ample and elegant, with a generous core of fruit framed by supple tannins and ripe acids. This is a delightful Beaune that will offer terrific value."

  4. New Volnay 1er Cru Santenots by Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure 2017

    $594.00

    Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Veal roasted, Vegetables

"The 2017 Volnay Santenots 1er Cru comes from a parcel of 60-year-old vines. The attractive, floral bouquet is well defined, offering black and red fruit combined with iris and light incense aromas and demonstrating good vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with fine backbone. A more masculine Santenots compared to its peers, but conveying energy and impressive focus on the slightly ferrous finish. Excellent."

  5. New Pommard 1er Cru Grands Epenots by Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure 2017

    $744.00

    Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Veal roasted, Vegetables

"Understated but powerful, the 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Grands Epenots exhibits aromas of sweet red cherries, rose petal, blood orange and dark chocolate, followed by a medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered palate that's broad-shouldered and concentrated despite its elegant style, framed by succulent acids and supple tannins. This is very promising."

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

The vines here average 45 years of age. The wine has a deep color and a lovely floral tinged perfume showing tinges of cherry. Showing lots of charm with lots of cherry and berry fruit, it is beautifully balanced with a nice underlying crispness and a long finish.

    Jean-Marc Bouley

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750ml

Cured Meat, Ham, Lard, Red Meat, Suckling Pig, Vegetables

"The 2016 Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets was not touched by frost this vintage according to winemaker Thomas Bouley. It has a very focused, energetic bouquet that unfurls with alacrity in the glass, offering more black fruit than red and subtle earthy/loamy tones. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a crisp line of acidity, bright and tensile with just a little attenuation on the finish that I am sure will not be there once in bottle. Give this 3 or 4 years in bottle and you will have a quintessential Caillerets."

    Jean-Marc Bouley

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Ham, Lard, Pasta, Red Meat, Suckling Pig, Vegetables

"The 2016 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers was cropped at just 9 hectoliters per hectare, or two barrels, this vintage. It has a gentle bouquet that works up through the gears with aeration, developing lovely mineral-rich red cherry and strawberry fruit with fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite poised and focused, not a powerful or fruit-driven Pommard but brimming over with tension and poise. Excellent."

"There is enough wood to warrant mentioning but not enough to overshadow the wonderfully spicy aromas of plum, black cherry and cassis. I very much like the texture of the extract-rich medium weight plus flavors that are at once powerful yet refined, all wrapped in a very firm, balanced and long finish."
