Louis Henry Denis Jadot established Maison Louis Jadot back in 1859. The inaugural vineyard acquisition by the Jadot family dates back to 1826, with the purchase of the Beaune vineyard, Clos des Ursules.

This family-run wine company specializes in the production and promotion of Burgundy wines. Maison Louis Jadot takes a dual approach, managing its own vineyards while also sourcing grapes from external growers. Their influence extends over 270 hectares (670 acres) of vineyards in Burgundy, encompassing Beaujolais Crus. Notably, their production is exclusively devoted to Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) wines.

Expanding beyond Burgundy, Louis Jadot has established vineyards in the Mâconnais region as well. Specifically, they oversee Domaine Ferret in Fuissé and Château des Jacques in Moulin à Vent within the Beaujolais region.

In a strategic move in 1996, Maison Louis Jadot collaborated with Tonnellerie Vicard, resulting in the creation of their proprietary cooperage named Cadus. This venture aimed to craft French oak barrels in adherence to the esteemed Burgundian tradition, showcasing their commitment to quality and craftsmanship in winemaking.
