When Michel Muré established himself in Rouffach and planted his vineyard in the 17th century, he likely had little foresight of the remarkable journey he initiated for his descendants. In 1935, Alfred Muré expanded the property by acquiring the 12-hectare (25-acre) Clos Saint Landelin, fully owned. Today, Véronique and Thomas, the great-grandchildren of Alfred and the 12th generation, passionately explore the treasures of this biodynamic monopoly and the splendid terroirs surrounding it. The estate encompasses 28 hectares, with 12 dedicated to the Clos Saint Landelin.

The Muré family is committed to allowing their wines to authentically reflect the terroir in which they are cultivated, preserving their heritage, and honoring the traditional expertise passed down through generations. The vines are densely planted, the vineyards are worked through manual labor, avoiding synthetic chemicals, adopting biodynamic methods, fermenting exclusively with indigenous yeasts, and employing minimal intervention in the cellar. These practices, year after year, contribute to ensuring that Muré wines consistently grace the finest tables in France and around the world.
