    Domaine Bachelet-Monnot

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

    Pasta, Salad, Vegetables, White Meat

"Light, bright yellow. Aromas of white peach, noble herbs and toasty oak are lifted by a stony quality (none of these '17s show any exotic character). Fine-grained, concentrated wine with sweet flavors of stone fruits and white flowers nicely framed by harmonious acidity. This wine really benefited from the dry growing season, noted Alexandre Bachelet, who added that its pH is 3.1, about the same as that of the village Chassagne. Offers good density and grip for village wine."
88-91 points - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media, September 2018

"Quite a lot of floral fragrance and lovely white fruit too. Strong saline stony character on the finish – very concentrated and lengthy, with archetypical nervy acidity."
    17.5 points - Jancis Robinson, January 2019

    Domaine Bachelet-Monnot

    Burgundy (France), France (France)

    6 x 750 ml

    Pasta, Salad, Vegetables, White Meat

"(made from six parcels located "next to" the premier and grand crus of Chassagne-Montrachet, according to Alexandre Bachelet, who added that about half of these vines are less than 30 years old): Distinctly floral, pure scents of pear, white peach and menthol; showing well today thanks to the earlier malolactic fermentation, which finished in February. Juicy and light on its feet, with its flavors of white peach, menthol and dusty stone displaying modest flesh but lovely precision. Finishes with very good lift. The Bachelets will rack this wine just before the 2018 harvest, but it will remain in stainless steel until bottling next March or April."
88-91 points - Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media, September 2018

"Crisp white fruit without the sulphidic complexity of their Santenay, but loads of leesy, mealy character on the palate. Very savoury and very dry to finish – cries out for food."
    17+ points - Jancis Robinson, January 2019

Quarry Road Gewürztraminer VQA by Tawse Winery 2017

    12.5% alc./vol.

This is our heaviest crop of Quarry Road Vineyard Gewurztraminer yet. The grapes were picked later than usual and unlike previous vintages the juice was pressed off without any skin contact occurring. The nose has perfume like floral notes with ripe sweet guava aromas. A beautifully enveloping mouthfeel that is very smooth and well balanced accompanies flavours of peach compote and ripe quava. There is a noticeable sweetness on the finish.

Limestone Ridge Riesling VQA by Tawse Winery 2017

    11% alc./vol.

Crafted from hand-harvested grapes, it displays ripe aromas of green apple, pear and hints of sweet lime. Green apple notes carry through to the palate accompanied by a round mouthfeel and a lively finish.

Carly's Block Riesling by Tawse Winery 2017

    11% alc./vol.

The nose at first sniff is shy before opening up to reveal hints of anise, sweet citrus; mandarin in particular, crisp orchard apples and notes of river rock. On the tongue are notes of ripe pear to start followed by minerality and crisp acidity on the finish. Another stunning wine from Carly’s Block. Vegan Friendly.

    Tawse Winery

Canada (Canada), Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    1 x 750 ml

Rich Fish, Salad, Vegetables, White Meat

This is the second vintage Tawse has produced from the Lenko Chardonnay Vineyard, the oldest in the Niagara Region. Pioneers of Vinifera grape growing in this area, the Lenko family recognized the potential of the local terroir for growing Chardonnay. The combination of old vines and exceptional land results in a beautiful wine. Aging 12 months in 50% new French oak gives way to aromas of big oak, minerality and shy tropical fruit. The palate is tart and toasty with flavours of cantaloupe on the long smooth finish.

    Domaine Claude Riffault

    France (France), Loire (France)

    12 x 750 ml

    Rich Fish, Salad, White Meat

The wine is vinified in stainless steel vats (approx 50%) and barrels (approx 50%). Ageing lasts 7 to 8 months, when the wine is bottled before the arrival of summer.
On the nose, the wine reveals aromas of white fleshed fruit and citrus. The generosity of the soil has resulted in a wine that is full-bodied on the palate. The fine minerality and acidity gives the wine freshness. It can be enjoyed on its own or with shell-fish or fish dishes.

    Tawse Winery

Canada (Canada), Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    6 x 750 ml

Pasta, Rich Fish, Salad, Vegetables, White Meat

The Quarry Road Vineyard planted in 1998, is a mixture of limestone and clay soil and is known for producing Chardonnays of unique minerality. Barrel fermented with indigenous yeast and aged in French Oak, this wine displays notes of honey suckle, ripe Red Delicious apple, with rich yet subtle notes of toffee. The crisp red apple carries onto the palate and is accompanied by flavours of vanilla, and wet stone. The complexity of these fruit and mineral flavours leave an extended finish of this superbly balanced Chardonnay.

    Domaine de Mauperthuis

    Chablis (France), France (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Rich Fish, Salad, Vegetables, White Meat

From a new family (relatively speaking) to Chablis, the estate belongs to Marie-Noëlle & Laurent Ternynck. The old vines Chablis saw 12 months in foudres, on the lees, with fruit gathered from vineyards in Fleys. The cool spot comes with a higher altitude, on a windswept plateau and so harvest is generally five to six days later. And so their Chablis is cool, direct, taut and sapid stuff, as Chablis will go, from such a climat and handled so. Acidity runs rampant and travels quickly up and down and into parts of the mouth that stand up to take notice. Sharp and focused Chablis.

    Vallana Wines

    Italy (Italy), Piedmont (Italy)

    6 x 750 ml

Ham, Pasta, Rich Fish, Risotto, Salad, Soft Cheese, Vegetables, White Meat

Lovely pink colour.  Bright aromas of wild strawberries, citrus, nectarine, and violets that follow through on the palate. This delicious, generous fruit sensation is solely due to the ripeness of the grapes! Moreover the naturally high acidity, typical of the variety, makes the wine very well balanced and provides a refreshing backbone.  A perfect combination: easy to drink, terroir driven, complex, deep and with recognizable varietal character.
