    "Our house style of rose is bright and refreshing with a pale colour and great fruit. The nose has vibrant red fruits such as, sour cherry, raspberry, watermelon with complimentary savoury notes with hints of floral orange blossom. The palate supports the nose with rich texture and a delicate finish. This bright, refreshing Rose was built for warm summer days and good company!

     

    2018 Sauvignon Blanc

    "A brand new release of the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc: picked relatively early, 18 hours on skins before pressing, fermentation in stainless steel, with a portion aged in neutral barrels for four months and the remainder in stainless steel. The wine is pale straw in the glass, crisp and fresh, with hints of grass, white flowers, lemon-lime and yellow melon. It's dry, with bright acidity, and add a whisper of white grapefruit and white peach on the palate. A charming wine, delicate and nuanced, far from the heavy vegetal side of the grape — perhaps moving towards a uniquely Niagara expression of the variety?" 90 points - Tim Appelt, WineDiscovery, April 2019

     

    2017 Pinot Noir

    "From de-classification choices made in the winery, the NP pinot noir is a blend of Lowrey and Senchuk vineyard fruit that didn’t make it into the single-vineyard bottles. Falls somewhere not precisely calculated in the 12-18 months barrel age time for fruit sweet and structured, elevated into the ether tonal zone and ready to please, if you please.     2017 Cuvée Winona

    This blended wine over-delivers massively for the price. The nose is pronounced with dried cranberries, lavender, licorice, cocoa, cedar, and blueberries that the palate replicates and follows with raspberry, vanilla, and rich tannins. It is perfectly drinkable now but will age well over the next 5-8 years. Great with burgers, cured meat, and hard cheese.

    "Very pretty, evolving nose and terrifically savoury palate, this is both ripe and fresh, sappy and concentrated, fleshy but also firm. I love the fine-grained tannins, abundant but coated in loads of black berry and raspberry extract, and the excellent length and depth overall. A magnificent vintage for this perennial favorite from Tawse, a strength in the portfolio to be sure. I'd cellar for another year or so, or hold until the mid to late '20s."

    A hot year for Pinot Noir, but from a great site. The nose shows ripe black and red cherry, raspberry, tobacco, cola nut and cinnamon. This a powerful example of Pinot Noir, and the ripe red fruit and cola follow through on the palate. The tannins are noticeable and would benefit from some time in bottle or decanter. I would serve this with grilled lamb loin or duck, something that has some flavourful fat, and a side of roasted vegetables. > Learn More

    Château Des Charmes

    This flagship red wine, Equuleus is a classically styled blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 25% Merlot. But Château des Charmes don’t make it every year. To be considered an “Equuleus year” each of the three grape varieties must have achieved at least 23.5º Brix at harvest. The 2012 vintage was awarded the Ontario Wine Awards “Red Wine of the Year” in 2017. Aged for 16 months in 1/3 new French oak, 2/3 in non-new French oak then the blend rests in French oak casks for several months. The result is rich and complex with flavours of cassis and dark chocolate. Equuleus is ready to drink now, but will continue to develop in the bottle for at least another 5-10 years.
