"The 'La Cigalette' is a gorgeous showing in this vintage. It opens to fresh, inviting aromas of black raspberries, plums, violets, spices, pepper and black olives all taking shape. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a lovely velvety texture that displays beautiful depth and focus. Flavors of ripe black raspberries, dark plums and violets notes continue to build through the long, juicy finish. Overall, this is a simply fantastic wine which will be accessible upon release and will also cellar nicely over the next decade."

"Deep purple color. Roasted aromas and flavors of chocolate coconut macaroon, honeycomb and peach tapioca, roasted nuts, and toasted cedar plank with a silky, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a tingling, interesting, medium-long finish that shows notes of dark chocolate mousse, creme brulee, and ground nuts with fine, chewy tannins and a suggestion of oak flavor. A spot on petite sirah with great flavor and finesse."
