  1. New Saveurs du Temps Costieres de Nimes by Vignerons Propriétés Associés 2018

    $227.88

    Vignerons Proprietes Associes

    France (France), Southern Rhône (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Suckling Pig, Veal roasted, White Meat

"A label from the Vignerons Propriétés Associés cooperative, this blend of syrah and grenache (80/20) wins on its bright, clean, precise flavors. There’s no oak to get in the way of syrah’s violet scents and black-pepper spice, or to mask the cherry-juicy tang of the grenache. The clarity allows the wine to sing, vibrant and pure."

  2. $299.88

    Domaine de Dionysos

    France (France), Southern Rhône (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Breads, Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables

"The 2016 'La Cigalette' is a wonderful showing which opens to aromas of ripe black raspberries and plums, followed by crushed violets, spices, white pepper and dark chocolate nuances which all begin to take shape as it unwinds in the glass. This possesses a remarkable round, polished texture that ends with a velvety finish that lingers nicely. While this already appealing and will be approachable early on, it will likely begin to show its best stuff after a year to two of cellaring."

  3. $347.40

    Domaine Frederic Brouca

    France (France), Languedoc-Roussillon (France)

    12 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables, Salted or Marinated Mushrooms, Veal roasted

This single-vineyard blend of Grenache, Syrah & Mourvedre offers a perfect combination of balance and power. Rich dark fruit and savoury roasted meat notes pop from the glass. The flavours are vibrant with a brooding symphony of red, blue and black fruit, peppery spice and a long, clean finish. Pair with hearty winter stews, grilled lamb chops or enjoy on its own.

"Grenache is emphatic but still plays fairly with the syrah and carignan on the palate of this undeniably charming, organically produced blend from Frederic Brouca. Offering a little funk among the flavours of red fruit, liquorice and pepper on the palate. Energetic, authentic and sensitively made. Mid-weight and surprisingly juicy. Effortlessly enjoyable."

  4. $299.94

    Gerard Betrand

    France (France), Languedoc-Roussillon (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Veal roasted

"Gérard Bertrand’s flagship IGP wine, this biodynamic blend of seven varieties is deep, brooding and serious. Dark fruit flavours, dark plum, cherry and spice. Fine acidity, smooth tannins, very nicely integrated oak which supports and doesn’t dominate. Manages to retain freshness alongside the succulent ripe fruits."

  5. $504.00

    Domaine du Pégau

    France (France), Southern Rhône (France)

    6 x 750 ml

Breads, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Vegetables

"Not yet bottled, the 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée is a normal blend of 80% Grenache, 6% Syrah, 4% Mourvèdre, and the rest assorted varieties (not destemmed), brought up all in foudre and old barrels. It has classic Pégau notes of ground pepper, earth, meat, truffle, and blackcurrants as well as medium to full body, good density, building tannins, and a great finish. Laurence compared this vintage to 2005, but I think this 2017 has more density and flesh. It’s a beautiful, classic Pégau that reminds me a slightly toned down 2009."

  6. $594.00

    Gilles Barge

    France (France), Northern Rhône (France)

    6 x 750 ml

    Cured Meat, Red Meat

“What does soulful, ultra-traditional Côte-Rôtie taste like? Gilles Barge has been successfully answering that question for generations. Whether you’re a sommelier-in-training or are simply seeking out a bottle of region-defining Syrah, it doesn’t get more classy/classic than this.” - Ian Cauble, Master Sommelier

This is essentially the Blonde counterpart to the Côte Brune wine, sourced primarity from such prime southern sector sites as Lancement, Boucharey and the ancient du Plessy vines, planted in the 1940s, from the Côte Blonde lieu-dit itself. Containing 5% Viognier, it is the essence of balance and refinement.
