Sourced from select Niagara Peninsula vineyards. Viticultural practices included vertical shoot thinning, cluster thinning, hand leaf removal and hand harvest. The 2017 Tawse Riesling is a blend from carefully sourced hand-harvested fruit from select vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula. As such, this balanced wine is a wonderful expression of both terroir and vintage, as well as a great value! The nose is bursting with rich aromas of citrus fruits, pineapple, wet stone, and honeysuckle. Notes of meyer lemon and mandarin have a bright expression on the palate. This deliciously off-dry Riesling has a creamy mouthfeel so delicately balanced with a mouthwatering finish.

    12 x 750 ml

The long cool extended harvest allowed the brilliant tropical characters to develop while still preserving the signature acidity. This wine is fresh, lively and enticing. Bright notes of guava and pineapple spiral around essences of crisp apple and pear. All that we love about summer is captured in this wine.

The semi-dry, all from the original St. Urban's Vineyard, is harvested slightly later than the dry riesling from Vineland, yielding a slightly more exotic fruit profile. Although semi-dry, this is beautifully balanced between generous and fleshy texture yet lean and taught acids. There's a fine, elegant bitterness from phenolics which also helps to dry out the palate. Clean and precise; outstanding value.

Very clean, open, perfumed, with apple and cherry blossom, green apple aromatics, lovely crisp acids and surprising depth. It's essentially dry at just over 16 grams of sugar/liter, but there's over 10 grams of acid to balance and compensate. Terrific value.

... one of Ontario's liveliest Sauvs, crisp and minerally with lots of grapefruit and grass smells - good enough to rival any from New Zealand. A good zingy stream of acidity runs right down the center of the tongue, while the citrus apple notes caress your tastebuds "¦ there's also hints of hay and grass thrown in for good measure. This is one of those lazy days wines "¦ you know the kind of day where the sun is beating down on you and all you have to do is lie there and take it "¦ with a glass of this in your hand, it'll make it even easier to take that kind of punishment.

"Limestone Ridge is a 21.5ha plot planted almost entirely to Riesling. As the name suggests, it is the richest in limestone of Tawse’s vineyards and the most mineral-driven of the estate’s three single-vineyard bottlings. Scents of heather and green apple open on the nose, while grapefruit, lime and chalk embellish the palate. Light bodied but emphatic and intense, it has an explosive, lingering finish. Palpable sweetness is a welcome offset to the racy, spine-tingling acidity which should integrate further with more time in bottle."

The signature unpasteurized Izumi sake, this is a smooth, easy-drinking sake with prominent pear and sugary tropical fruit notes balanced with a healthy dose of fresh acidity. A very versatile paring sake, or wonderful on its own. Keep refrigerated and serve chilled.

A delicious, fruity, once-pasteurized sake (most Japanese sake is twice-pasteurized to extend shelf life between seasons) that is based on the same blend as Nama Nama. Excellent either chilled or gently warmed to 40-45 degrees C.
