Vignerons Proprietes Associes (VPA) is a renowned wine estate located in the heart of the Languedoc region in southern France. Founded in 1985 by a group of winegrowers, the estate covers over 300 hectares of vineyards, producing a wide range of high-quality wines.
The owner of VPA is Eric Fabre, a highly respected figure in the wine industry. Fabre brings years of experience and expertise to the estate, having worked as a winemaker at Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Margaux before joining VPA in 2003. Fabre has been instrumental in elevating the estate's wines to new heights, receiving numerous accolades and awards.
The winemaker at VPA is Cécile Hareau, who joined the estate in 2016. Hareau, who holds a degree in viticulture and oenology, brings a fresh perspective to the winemaking process, blending traditional techniques with innovative approaches to create wines that are both classic and modern.
VPA's vineyards are situated in the hilly and rocky terrain of the Languedoc region, with an ideal Mediterranean climate that allows for optimal grape ripening. The estate's terroir is characterized by limestone and clay soils, which impart a unique minerality to the wines.
VPA has received numerous awards and recognition for its wines, including several medals at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge. VPA uses a natural composting technique to enrich the soil, which is said to contribute to the distinctive character of their wines.
