"The following 2019 Redstone Rosé is a blend of—50% cabernet franc/25% merlot/25% syrah—sourced from estate and other select vineyards across the Niagara Peninsula. This is the perfect fruity-savoury mix both on the nose and palate with aromas of strawberry, cranberry, red bell pepper and fresh celery leaf followed with palate-bathing tart red fruit flavours, a hint of red bell pepper jelly, topped with a peppery note. This is a refreshing medium-bodied rosé extremely versatile to enjoy alongside grilled steelhead trout burger, red sauce gourmet pizza or simply with mixed olives and feta cheese at the apéro."

"Now that fashion has shifted from once trendy white blends to #roséallday, the brands like Family Tree that remain are ones that have stood the test of time. They’ve found an audience because they offer considerable charm and appeal — and, in this instance, solid value. This is a rich and rewarding blend of chardonnay, viognier, gewürztraminer and chardonnay musqué, with the majority fermented in stainless tanks to preserve freshness and fragrance, and a portion fermented and aged in oak barrels for increased complexity and texture. As a result, it’s nicely balanced, layered with flavour and refreshment, which makes it truly enjoyable with or without a meal. Drink now to 2022."

    Cave Spring Vineyard

Canada (Canada), Niagara (Canada), Ontario (Canada)

    12 x 750 ml

Pasta, Suckling Pig, Vegetables, White Meat

Showing great concentration, the nose exhibits intense aromas of ripe pear, white peach and lime-citrus, complemented by delicate floral notes. Dry in style, the palate shows complex citrus and green melon fruit up front, with outstanding middle palate weight and an accent of white pepper. The wine’s focused fruit carries through to a very bright and persistent finish. Dry but not austere, this vintage stands out for its balance of vivacious fruit, full extraction and rich texture.

    12 x 750 ml

This wine offers perfumed notes of orange blossom and ripe cantaloupe, with soft herbal scents reminiscent of sage, thyme and mint in the background. The palate is rich and medium bodied, with ripe flavours of melon and red apple on the front and middle palate. A refreshing seam of acidity emerges for
balances, carrying very persistent orange peel flavours long onto the finish.

    Cave Spring Vineyard

    12 x 750 ml

    Rich Fish, Vegetables, White Meat

Pale straw colour with aromas of white grapefruit, wet stone, anise and yellow plum over top notes of bee pollen, Key lime and fresh pastry. Off dry and medium bodied, the palate is full and creamy up front, followed by a rich, mineral texture and a riveting tension between fine-grained, saline acidity and ripe, fleshy flavours of ruby grapefruit and nectarine. The wine builds toward a very rich, persistent finish of crushed stone, tangerine and savoury herbs.

"Limestone Ridge is a 21.5ha plot planted almost entirely to Riesling. As the name suggests, it is the richest in limestone of Tawse’s vineyards and the most mineral-driven of the estate’s three single-vineyard bottlings. Scents of heather and green apple open on the nose, while grapefruit, lime and chalk embellish the palate. Light bodied but emphatic and intense, it has an explosive, lingering finish. Palpable sweetness is a welcome offset to the racy, spine-tingling acidity which should integrate further with more time in bottle."

"As expected, Cave Spring 's chardonnay musqué fits the varietal character perfectly. This incarnation seems more lush and voluptuous than the norm, almost honeyed in its texture. Peppery and floral with a mid-weight to full-bodied profile. A hedonistic treat."

"Twisted is the flagship white of a laudible, high-end Niagara winery, unlike many of its peers in this country and beyond, has kept a sane lid on prices. The wine is a blend of Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay, and this is the first vintage under the eye of winemaker Dave Sheppard.
Perfectly off-dry, intriguingly oily and for the sake of a foreign frame of reference - voluptuously Alsatian. Plump and musky, it offers up flavours of apricot, peach and baked apple, like a mixed-fruit country pie. A well-crafted blend that combines Riesling’s zip with Gewurztraminer’s aromatics and Chardonnay’s flesh."

"Translucent yellow-gold. Lemon zest, quinine and ginger on the incisive, mineral-accented nose. Sharply focused and dry, showing firm cut to Meyer lemon and green apple flavors, which deepen slowly on the back half. Finishes long and energetic, leaving subtle herb and floral notes behind."

90 points - Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media, March 2021

"The Biutiful Cava non-vintage Brut Nature is composed of a fairly unique blend of eighty percent Macabeu and twenty percent Chardonnay. It was aged for a year and a half sur latte prior to disgorgement and has less than a gram of residual sugar. The wine offers up a bright and stylish nose of lemon, tart pear, salty minerality, dried flowers and lemongrass. On the palate the wine is crisp, fullish and beautifully balanced, with frothy mousse, good mineral drive and a long, vibrant and fairly complex finish. This is a very well-made example and a superb value. 2020-2030+."

"Always a special wine from St. David’s. It’s a lime bomb on the nose with notes of lemon, crisp green apple and profound minerality. It’s zippy and fresh on the palate, a smidge of honey, with lime, grapefruit, ginger, stony minerality and balancing acidity. Should age well for another five years but already hitting its stride."
