The Brunate “Cru” is a true archetype of high class Barolo. This La Morra vineyard spills over into the actual township of Barolo on a long slope which varies from 260-405 meters above sea level. Exposure is predominantly south to southeast. Enzo loves making wine from this site as it has the rare ability to deliver perfumed elegance and power in equal parts.
Rich, sparkling ruby with a garnet edge. Very fragrant and memorable nose, finely drawn, of raspberries, star anise, watermelon and truffle. Juicy and full on the palate, shows a lot of raspberry fruit in the beginning, then opens with robust, dense tannins, firm pressure in the finish, needs a few more years.
