"The 2022 Blagny La Pièce Sous La Bois 1er Cru has the finest bouquet amongst all the red cuvées, perhaps containing the most tension and mineralité thanks to the higher elevation. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannins and raspberry and cranberry fruit. It is almost Pommard-like in style with a silver thread of acidity. Impressive persistence and weight on the finish where the limestone soil comes through and shapes this wine. Outstanding."
