Saumur le Bruit Blanc by Domaine Moly 2023

After a first life spent between California and New Zealand, Aurélia and Étienne Moly settled in Saumur with their two children to experience the winemaking adventure. The couple learned the techniques from the Guiberteau family, pioneers of organic viticulture, before launching Domaine Moly for themselves.

La Bruit 2023 possesses an unmistakable presence and penetrating textured minerality that Saumur provides. Etienne picked on the early side, and the resulting wines have beautiful poise and agility, along with plenty of intensity. It has great finesse and an ultra-fine thread of acidity that lends levity and refinement to the wine's saturating textural complexity. The wine is starting to enter a really nice phase of its evolution. It remains snappy and bright but is starting to reveal the complexity that age will bring. I highly recommend decanting this wine for an hour prior to serving, and serving at no less than 16 degrees. Before wrapping up, I should warn you that quantities are very limited.
