Initially catering to a select mailing list in France, the superb quality of their wines has now gained global recognition, with critics like Jancis Robinson ranking them among the finest in Meursault alongside Lafon, Roulot, and Coche-Dury. While primarily producing in Meursault, Boisson also crafts remarkable wines in villages like Auxey-Duresses, known for its precise and characterful Chardonnay. The 2020 Boisson, with its brilliant mineral core and flinty backbone, stands out as an exceptional value, drawing attention from fans of Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault for its rare caliber at an accessible price.

The Producer

Boisson Frere et Soeur

The Boisson-Vadot estate located in Meursault was masterfully managed by Bernard Boisson. Since 2016, it has been taken over by his two children Pierre and Anne, hence the domain name 'Boisson Frère et Sœur.' Pierre Boisson cultivates more than three hectares of vines and the wines are processed with long aging in oak barrels. For her part, Anne Boisson owns more than one hectare of vines weaving between the villages of Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. The particularly favorable climate - thanks to hot summers and frost-free autumns - allows the vines to develop on marl and limestone soils. The vineyard offers authentic cuvées reflecting the terroir and work that respects the environment.
