"The Fabio Motta 2023 Bolgheri Rosso Le Pievi is a blend of 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 10% Syrah, fermented and aged entirely in cement. There is a point of ripeness on the bouquet recalling blackberry marmalade or baked plum, yet it is well integrated across the wine’s medium- to full-bodied texture. Vinified without oak to preserve purity of fruit and site expression, the 2023 finishes with pretty freshness."
